WILLIAMS, MAE ASBELL, 91 Archer - Willie Mae Asbell Williams, 91, of Archer, FL, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013 at ET York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. She was born December 2, 1921 in Trenton, FL, and moved to Archer from Trenton in 1947. She was a nurse's aide and loved church, fishing, the mountains and being with family. Willie Mae was the oldest member (member since 1937) of Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Trenton, FL. She was predeceased by her husbands John V. Asbell and Fleet Williams. Survivors include sons Duncan (Edwina) Asbell, Ted (Avis Anne) Asbell and Melvin (Judi) Asbell, daughters Charlene (Barry) Green and Irene (Kinnis) Thomas, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday, February 20 at Milam Funeral Home in Newberry. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday at Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Trenton with burial following at Shady Grove Cemetery.
