Lynne Sue Mitchell SmithLynne Sue Mitchell Smith, 53, formerly of Okeechobee, was born Nov. 11, 1953 in Ft. Lauderdale. She was married to Lawrence E. Smith of Coral Springs for 28 years.Lynne leaves a daughter, Lisa Watson and her husband, John Watson. Lisa will graduate from Duke University as a nurse practitioner this December. Lynne also leaves a son, Lawrence J. Smith, who graduated from Youngstown State University on May 19, with a dual major in computers and criminal justice. Her children are the crowning legacy that she leaves behind. She is also survived by her mother, Jacqueline Mitchell, and her brother, Jeffrey Mitchell, both of Okeechobee.Lynne had been bravely fighting breast cancer for 10 years until she finally succumbed to the disease on Tuesday, May 15, at the age of 53.She was a wonderful loving wife and mother who was an inspiration to us all.Services were held Wednesday, May 23, at the Rocky Sink Baptist Church in Live Oak.Donations may be sent in Lynne Sue Mitchell Smith's name to the Susan G.
