Obituary of Lynn Murray

Lynn Murray We regret to announce the passing of Lynn Murray, formerly of Moncton, NB, in her 36th year. Lynn will be greatly missed by her parents, Elizabeth (Chase) and William Murray, and sister Karen Fyfe of Moncton. Her brother-inlaw, two nieces and nephew will also miss Lynn. Lynn's friends, co-workers and former clients also express their grief at her tragically short life. Lynn passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario on July 28, 2005 after a courageous 3-year fight against cancer. The family extends their appreciation to Julie (Green) Reale, her husband and Marilyn Field of Mississauga for their active support during this period. Lynn was a graduate of Harrison Trimble and the University of New Brunswick (1990). Lynn moved to Ontario and eventually settled into a role with Honeychurch Family Life Resource Centre in Brampton, Ontario. She was essential and passionate in assisting mothers and children subject to domestic violence in their critical times of need. Lynn initiated a group called "Reclaiming My Life" which has been helping women for 9 years and will go on for many more. In her 15-year career she helped innumerable women and their families and brought hope to their lives. Most recently she held the position of Assistant Director. Lynn enjoyed life and all its pleasures and was at peace when surrounded by nature. She loved camping, walking in the woods, travelling and had a soft heart for animals. Lynn loved children and cats and spoiled both at any given opportunity. At her wishes, Lynn was cremated and there will be no funeral service. A celebration of Lynn's life is planned for September 24, 2005 in Mississauga, Ontario. Donations can be made to any of the following: Salvation Army, Family Life Resource Centre, Region of Peel, 535 Main St N., Brampton, Ontario, L6X 3C9; Canadian Breast Cancer Society; or, Friends of the Moncton Hospital.
