Lura Mae Davis, 75, died Nov. 13, 2008, at Kindred Hospital South Florida in Fort Lauderdale. She was born in Nashville, Ga., and lived in Indiantown for more than 56 years. Before retirement, she was a certified nursing assistant at Stuart Nursing and Restorative Care and Salerno Bay Manor. She completed her primary and secondary education in the public schools of Berrien County, Ga. She was a member of the Pahokee Church of God in Pahokee and served on the Mother's Board. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Nathaniel Davis Sr. of Indiantown; sons, Willie B. Davis Sr. of Pembroke Pines, Phaion C. Davis of Indiantown and Nathaniel Davis Jr. of Orlando; daughters, Alsaida L. Jones of Atlanta and Winifred Charles and Clara M. "Tausha" Murvin, both of Indiantown; sisters, Christine Bennett, Elbert Jean Beale, Cindy Miller, Louvenia Jackson and Margaret Foster, all of Nashville, and Clara Futch of West Palm Beach; 22 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Gary. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 22 at the Pahokee Church of God. A home-going celebration will follow with the Rev.
