-> Glennville - Lula Ruth Kennedy Hughes, 72, passed away Friday, September 30, 2005 at Candler Hospital in Savannah after a brief illness. The Long County native was a retired License Practical Nurse working in Wayne County Hospital & Nursing Home and the Glenvue Nursing Home. She was a member of Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by, husband, C.C. Hughes Sr., Glennville; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Tony Marcinkevich, Kingsland; sons and daughter -in-law, Greg and Merle Hughes, Gum Branch and C.C. Hughes, Jr., Hinesville; sisters and brother-in-law, Edwina and Lonnie Skeens and Brenda Smiley all of Glennville; brother, Jack Kennedy, Glennville; grandchildren, Dale Marcinkevich, Blake and Kaitlin Hughes; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Reuben Cason officiating. Interment will follow in the ChurchCemetery.
