Lula-Frances Hardin, born in 1921, daughter of Sanford and Mattie-Smith, died on September 21, 2012 at 91 years old.
HARDIN, LULA FRANCES, 91, of Louisville, passed away at Golden Living Center at Hill Creek on September 21, 2012 with her family by her side. She was the former Lula White and a native of Springfield, KY. Lula had worked and retired from General Electric after 30 years of service. She had been a charter member of Cove Baptist Church before moving her membership to Highview Baptist Church. Lula Frances had spent many years with her daughter and grandchildren, looking after the little ones and was proud to say that all of her grandchildren had never had to go to a day-care. She was such a loving woman, always doing for others and never wanting anything herself. She enjoyed vacations on the beach, Disney World and just times spent together with her family. Among those that preceded her in death were her parents, Sanford C. and Mattie Smith White; brother, Harley White; sisters, Juanita Hoover and Margaret Sims and a stepbrother, William Kayes. Left cherishing her memory is her daughter, Sherry Wallace (George); grandchildren, Chere Brooks (Joshua Hardin), George Christopher Wallace and Bradley C. Wallace (Alicia); and eight great-grandchildren. Lula's Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with private entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. You may visit us online at www.archlheadyresthaven.com
