SMITH Lula C. Yearty Smith, 93, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2002. Born in Vista, Florida, she was a resident of Jacksonville since 1927. She was a long-time member of the South Jacksonville Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Smith and her friend, Ruthe Leek, were co-owners of Boluns, Inc., a fine ladies apparel business, for more than twenty years. She is survived by her son, James Hopper, daughter-in-law, June Hopper, three grandchildren, Mark Hopper, Terri Evans and Gayle Clark, and eight great-grandchildren. The Reverend Jack Allyn will lead Graveside Funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 15, 2002, in Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM tonight, Friday, June 14, 2002, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Shore Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2270 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, Fla. 32210.
