Lucy-Teresa Smyth, born in 2005, spouse of Walter Smyth, mother of Norman, Ron and Avril, died on April 27, 2010 at 5 years old.
SMYTH, Lucy Teresa (nee Anton) (June 28, 1916 April 27, 2010) Passed away peacefully in the presence of family on April 27th, 2010 at the Oak Bay Lodge, Victoria; her home for the past 5 years. Lucy was born in Stradbally, Ireland, the third of eleven children. She married Walter Smyth in 1938 and they lived in Cahir, Kilkenny, Waterford and retired to the seaside village of Tramore. In 1995, she moved to Victoria to be near her two sons. She was an avid bridge player and spent many happy afternoons at the Monterey Centre. Lucy was a loving, caring and proud mother to Norman (Joan), Ron (Ruby) and Avril (Doug) and a dear grandmother to Brendon, Tara, Fiona, Sheilagh, and Jennifer and to her great grandchildren Lucy and James. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A celebration of Lucy's life will be held at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, 3475 Ripon Road, Victoria, V8R 6H1, on Sunday, July 11th, at 3.00 pm followed by a reception. 593971
