WESTMINSTER -- Lucy E. Smith, 86, formerly of Thompson Road died on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland, N.H., where she had resided since July 2000.She was born in Framingham, Mass., on Dec. 15, 1918, the daughter of Clifford and Audra (Davis) Smith. She was a 1936 honors graduate of Framingham High School and graduated from Boston University in 1940 with a bachelor of science degree in journalism, magna cum laude.She was an administrative assistant at Boston University for many years and also worked as registrar at Windham College from 1965 until its closing.She enjoyed reading, writing and traveling.Miss Smith is survived by nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held in the spring with the date to be announced.
