Lucy Pauline Jackson, 71, of Lauderhill, Fla., formerly of Piscataway, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014. Celebration services are on Friday, March 7, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Emmanuel Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 198 Summer Ave., Newark, N.J. Mrs. Jackson retired as an elementary school literacy teacher for the Elizabeth Board of Education after 33 years of service. She was a member of Emmanuel Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, for 36 years, where she was the minister of music and performed with many musicians and directors. Surviving are her husband, Robert Jackson; children, Robert A. Jackson and Kahalida Jackson-Bunn; siblings, Bishop James C. Richardson Jr. (Gloria), Mary Mason, and Jeanette Millner (Harry); grandchildren, Shaquille, Shanice, Robert Jr., Elijah, Daymon, Isaiah, Josiah and Alyssah, and other relatives and friends.
