Memorial services for Mrs. Lucy Jane Porter will be Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 4 p.m. at the Murray Temple CME Church in Anniston with Ervin Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements. There will be no viewing. She was born September 1, 1925 to John and Willie Allen and passed away December 8, 2010. She was a wonderful, strong, amazing mother, grandmother, aunt, Cousin, teacher and friend. Survivors include her daughter, Portia Persley, of Washington, D.C.; her grandson, Walter Persley of, Ayer, Mass.; two nephews; seven nieces; and a host of cousins and close friends.
