BROWN, Mrs. Lucy was bornJanuary 6, 1946 to the lateMary Fikes and Willie Fikes.After the sudden death of herparents she was raised by heraunt and uncle: Ovetta andEmmitt McGhee, Sr. she departed this life on Thursday,March 22, 2007 at JacksonHospital. She confessed Christat an early age and unitedwith the Baptist Hill MissionaryBaptist Church under theleadership of Rev. M.D. Thomas were she worshiped faithfully until she married RobertBrown and united with Jackson Street Baptist Church inMontgomery, AL. She attended Lowndes County PublicSchools and graduated fromLowndes County TrainingSchool, Class of 1964. Shewas blessed with the creativegift of making beautiful baskets and flowers. She leavesto cherish her memories oneson: Roderick Brown; one precious and loving granddaughter; four brothers:Theauthor Fikes of Birmingham, AL; Roosevelt (Virginia)Fikes of Orlando, FL; Charlie(Dorothy) Fikes of New York;and Archie (Mamie) McGheeof Montgomery, AL; one sister: Mary (Drewey) Aaron ofHayneville, AL; three sister-in-law: Loretta McGhee, IsabelWilliams, and Grace Brown allof Montgomery, AL; two God-daughters: Anita and Margaret smith both of Tuskegee,AL; two special devotednephews Robert and WalterAaron; two special nieces:Mary Ware and Annie Pearl;the Sharp Street Family; a hostof loving nieces, nephews,cousins, and friends. Funeralservices will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at BaptistHill Baptist Church at 12:00with Rev. L.F. Ross officiating.
