Lucy Anderson, born in 1936, spouse of Dellis Anderson, daughter of Percy and Irene, mother of Kathryne, Ut, Az, Lori, Derek, Steven, Nv and Jason, died on January 4, 2007 at 71 years old. Please consult the obituary here:
ANDERSON _ Lucy Kathleen (nee Edwards) 1935 - 2007 Lucy, beloved wife of Dellis (Del) Anderson, passed away January 4, 2007 at the age of 71. She will be dearly missed by her beloved Del, their five children Kathryne Choucair (Ali) of Salt Lake City, UT, Lori Schlichter (Henry) of Calgary, Derek Anderson (Diana) of Mesa, AZ, Steven Anderson (Cindy) of Las Vegas, NV and Jason Anderson (Kim) of Gilbert, AZ; and their nineteen grandchildren. Lucy was one of twelve children born in Australia to the late Irene and Percy Edwards. Five of her siblings survive her: Shirley Clements, Ray Edwards (Verla), Clarence Edwards (Jane), Carolyn Minion (Doug) and Betty LeBaron (twin). As a young woman Lucy came to the Southern Alberta area with her family. She met Del in Barnwell, and they were married for time and eternity in the Cardston Temple on October 6, 1954, and moved to Calgary where they started their family. Since retirement, Lucy and Del have served three missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: Milwaukee, WI, Kiev, Ukraine and locally in the Eden Valley. They have resided in High River since 2000. Lucy had a gentle and kind nature with a demonstrable spirit of unconditional love. She worked quickly and diligently in all her tasks and brought beauty and refinement to everything she touched. She will be remembered and greatly missed as a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. A Funeral Service will be held in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 909 - 9 Street S.W., High River, AB on January 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., preceded by a viewing at 9:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Taber Cemetery.
