PROVIDENCE -- Lucille Doris (Paquin) Canuel, 80, of St. Antoine Villa, North Smithfield, died Sunday, April 17, 2005, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the widow of Normand J. Canuel. Born in Fall River, Mass., the daughter of the late William R. and Eva R. (Bedard) Paquin, she lived in Norton, Mass., for 20 years, in Westbrook, Maine, in Arlington, Mass., and in North Smithfield for 1½ years. She attended Fall River Public Schools. Mrs. Canuel was a payroll bookkeeper at MIT for more than 20 years until retiring. She was a volunteer for Morton Hospital for several years. Survivors include two daughters, Norma L. Kenny of North Scituate, Mass., and Nancy L. Blackman of Plantation, Fla.; a son, Robert R. Canuel of Ipswich, Mass.; a sister, Lorraine Kozak of Fall River; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow from Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 in St. Anne's Church, South Main Street, Fall River. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
