Loye Virginia Barrett Davis passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Prince George Healthcare Center in Georgetown, S.C. Mrs. Davis was born in Cumming, a daughter of the late Arthur Jarrell Barrett and Alice Martin Barrett. She grew up in Cumming and moved to Georgetown in 1939. Mrs. Davis was the widow of James Harold Davis. She is survived by her two sons, Ronald (Joyce) Davis of Atlanta, Bennie (Laura) Davis of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Robbie D. (Wil) Roberts of Alexandria, Va., Cheryl D. (Billy) Bellune of Georgetown; a sister, Lalla Patterson of Alpharetta; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Whitmire officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
