Mrs. Louise Vann Smith, 77, passed away at her home in Florence on Friday, April 12, 2002.Louise was born in Jefferson, Mo., on Sept. 16, 1924. She moved to Florence in the 1930s. Her husband, Stanford Eugene Smith Sr., preceded her in death in 1971.She was a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother. She retired from Reynolds after 20 years of service as a secretary.The funeral service will beMonday, 3 p.m., at Elkins Funeral Home chapel, with burial to follow at Greenview Memorial Park.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7-9 p.m.Elkins Funeral Home, Florence, is assisting the family.Louise is survived by one son, Stanford E. Smith Jr. of Florence.Pallbearers will be friends of the Smith family.
