Obituary of Louise Smith


Louise "Lou" Snipes Smith, 73, of Easley, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 12, 2007.Born in Transylvania County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Daniel Van and Maude Hendricks Snipes. She was a homemaker and a member of Winding Creek Baptist Church.Surviving are her husband, Bobby J. Smith of the home; children, Tony Gantt and his wife Debbie, Monte Gantt and his wife Tracy, Eric Gantt and his wife Allison, Tony Smith and his wife Gayla, and Brenda Turner and her husband Gene; eight grandchildren, Joey Turner, Kelli Turner, Travis Gantt, Nikki Freeman, Courtney Gantt, Justin Smith, Aimee Gantt and Lindsey Gantt; four great-grandchildren, Zachary Turner, Colby Gantt, Logan Smith and Kinsley Gantt; four brothers, Bradley, Roy, Ray and Henry Snipes.Funeral Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Winding Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Doyle Finley, the Reverend John Parker and the Reverend Joey Turner. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or in person at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, which is assisting the family.
