HomemakerLAKELAND -- Mrs. Louise F. Smith of Lakeland died of cancer Saturday (July 29, 2006) at Palm Garden of Winter Haven. She was 77.Born in Elba, Ala., on Sept. 27, 1928, she came to Lakeland from Charleston, S.C., in 1968. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and active in the church nursery.Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Malcom Smith. She is survived by her son, Don Smith, Winter Haven; daughter, Glenda Steen, Lakeland; brother, Odis Fillmon, Bartow; sister, Shirley Money, Elba; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Tabor Baptist Church.
