Louise-M. Sanborn, born in 1914, spouse of Chester Sanborn, daughter of James and Myrtle, mother of Edward, Sonja and Clifford, died on September 6, 2011 at 96 years old.
BUCKSPORT - Louise M. Sanborn, 96, passed away peacefully Sept. 6, 2011, with her loving granddaughter by her side at Blue Hill Hospital. She was born Sept. 21, 1914, in Orland, daughter of James and Myrtle (Blaisdell) Pickering. Louise grew up in North Penobscot, worked at Rosen's department store and retired from Bucksport Post Office after many years of service. Louise was a member of Bucksport Garden Club, Bridge Club and volunteered at Bucksport Senior Citizens Center. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and painting. She is survived by her sons, Edward Lambert and wife, Sonja, of South Carolina, and Clifford "Butch" Lambert and companion, Claudette Heath, of Bucksport; grandchildren, Dean Lambert and wife, Jennifer, of Florida, and Lisa Winters and husband, Robert, of Orland; great-grandchildren, Keith Kegley, Sara Winters, Robert Winters, Jessica Lambert and Lauren Lambert; great-great-stepgrandchild, Kaelyn Kegley; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; first husband, Clifford Lambert; second husband, Chester Sanborn; many brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at Silver Lake Cemetery, Bucksport, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
