Obituary of Louise-Kennedy Johnson


Louise Kennedy Johnson, 94, Clarksville, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 22, 2009. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Herbert McFadden and Brother Bobby Kail officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. today and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Johnson was born June 23, 1914, in Montgomery County, TN, daughter of the late Chilton and Docie Evans Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Johnson; brother Ernest Kennedy; and a sister Annie Mae Atkins. Mrs. Johnson was a private sitter. She was the oldest member of Dotsonville Baptist Church, and worked with the Women's Missionary Union since 1938, she recently received a 65 year recognition for her services. She is survived by two daughters, Ernie Lou Clark, and husband Cliff of Harrodsburg, KY; and Peggy Sue Borchert and husband Bob of Radcliff, KY. Her grandchildren are Tina Lightfoot, Harold Clark,Penny Begley, Sabrina Collings and Bert Borchert, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dotsonville Baptist Church, or the Tennessee Baptist Childrens Home. www.sykesfuneralhome.com
