SPARTANBURG, SC-- Louise Foster Johnson, 89, formerly of Forest Oaks Way, Spartanburg, died on Sunday, October 1, 2006, at White Oak Manor. Born on March 8, 1917, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Worthington Foster, Sr. and Lucy Mae Fincher Foster and the wife of the late Clarence Wofford Johnson, Sr. A graduate of Converse College, she was a retired teacher at Pine Street Elementary School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg and a Mobile Meals volunteer.Survivors include a son, Clarence Wofford Johnson, Jr. and his wife Dee Johnson of Spartanburg; a daughter, Patsy E. Johnson of Spartanburg; a grandson, Christopher Wofford Johnson and his wife Elizabeth Fruit Johnson of Columbia; a granddaughter, Evin Elizabeth Johnson of Spartanburg; and a great-grandson, Curry Wofford Johnson, and a great-granddaughter, Evin Catherine Johnson, both of Columbia. She was predeceased by two brothers, Lewis Worthington Foster, Jr. and Gilbert Judd Foster.Visitation will be from 1:00-1:45 PM on Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at Floyds Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Sal Barone and the Rev. Bill Adams.
