CHESTER -- Louise C. (Currier) Wright, 83, died Nov. 7, 2008, following a brief illness. She was born on Oct. 20, 1925. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker and mother of eight. She was a former resident of Methuen, Mass., until 1986, when she moved to Chester with her husband and family. Mrs. Wright loved family gatherings, crafting and had flower gardens. She also enjoyed her yearly winter trips to Florida. Not only did she raise her own children, she helped to raise her grandchildren. She was very involved with each and enjoyed spending time with all of them. Her love of children expanded beyond her immediate family and included everyone she touched. She was the wife of the late Sam R. Wright Jr., who died in 1995. Family includes twin sister Louella Newton of Topsfield, Mass.; sons Charles Wright of Chester, Thomas Wright of Raymond, and James Wright of Auburn; daughters Catherine Young and Theresa Travers of Chester, Ann Brasher of Warner, Susan McAndrews of Sandown, and Dorothy Tanguay of Auburn; 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. IN HER LIFE: She was predeceased by one grandson, Sam Wright, who died in 2005. SERVICES: Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, with a funeral service to follow at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Words of remembrance will be shared Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Great Hill Cemetery, Chester.
