Louise Bell INMAN, SC-- Louise Norris Bell, 97, of Magnolia Manor in Inman, SC, died Friday, May 14, 2010, after a long period of declining health. Native of Huntsville, AL, she had resided in Asheville, NC, for 50 years with her husband, the late Austin Hines Bell. She was the youngest daughter of Walter Robert Norris and Frances Breedlove Norris, of Huntsville, Alabama. She was a member of Groce United Methodist Church in Asheville. Mrs. Bell held a management position with the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild for many years and was considered an authority on traditional crafts of the Applachian region. In her earlier years, she was employed as a tax consultant. Surviving are a son and daughter, Dr. Norris H. Bell of Pawleys Island, and Amy Bell Hatley of Spartanburg, SC. Also surviving are a grandson, Adam D. Hatley of Nashville, TN; a granddaughter, Kristen B. Tracy, of Fletcher, NC; two great-granddaughters, Paxton Mallory Tracy and Fallon Quinn Tracy; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn C. Bell. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Green Hills Cemetery in West Asheville conducted by Dr. David Sutton of Nazareth Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg. The family will receive friends at graveside following the service.
