Louis-Joseph Bohemier, spouse of Hazel Bohemier, father of Joanne and Shirleen, died on March 6, 2011.
"Eeeasy Putt"Kelly passed away peacefully on March 6th, 2011 at Cumberland Lodge. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Wendy and his daughter Joanne. Kelly is survived by his wife of 70 years, Hazel, his daughter Shirleen (Ken) of Comox, son-in-law Tom, grandchildren; Brian, Michele and Nichole, great grandchildren; Colin, Josh, Paige, Haley, Maya and Grace as well as many nieces and nephews. Kelly belonged to the British Columbia Regiment Association (Duke of Connaught's own). He was with the tank corps where he drove the scout car for the ammunition and fuel trucks in World War II. Kelly was president of Totem Golf Club in Penticton and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Campbell River Branch #137. In his leisure time Kelly loved to bowl, play horseshoes and golf and more golf. He started out as a milkman where he met his wife of 70 years, Hazel. He then worked at Royal City Sawmill, moved to Campbell River and worked at Elk Falls Mill for 30 years. He was the kindest, most pleasant and happiest person who never had a wrong word to say about anyone. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Cumberland Lodge for the exceptional care given to our papa, it is the best place to have your loved one cared for. A Memorial Service for Kelly will take place at the Campbell River Legion on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Instead of flowers donations made to the Cumberland Lodge would be appreciated.
