->Frederick, Louis JamesLouis James Frederick, born Nov. 7, 1919, passed away Oct. 26, 2012, 92 years young, and 2 weeks short of his 93rd birthday. A proud veteran of WWII, quickly rising to the rank of Sergeant before being discharged in 1945. Lou spent the first 80 years of his life in Rockland County and the last 12 years in Orange County.He was predeceased by his wife, Grace; and 2 brothers, William and George. He is survived by 5 children, Miles, Veronica, Steven, Jeanne and Mary Lou; and 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.Lou had lived with, and was greatly loved by his second family, niece, Linda Sweet (Toby); grand-niece, Holli Hansen (Harry); and grand-nephew, Sean Hansen for 35 years. He was also close with his cousin, Jackie Conklin, enjoying the fruits of her harvests and special lunches together. Wherever Lou lived he was well thought of by his neighbors and all of the family, friends and relatives.He retired as a milkman and mechanic and was a volunteer for the Hillcrest Fire De[partment for over 65 years. He enjoyed gardening, painting and spending time with, and adoring the family pets, Maxine and Teddy. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him and especially by those on his donut delivery list.Reposing Tuesday, 12 noon - 2:00pm at Sniffen-Sagala Funeral Home.
