BRYANT - Louie Raymond "Ray " Age 89, formerly of West Seneca, Ashville, NY and Yuma, Arizona, died September 20, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Ray was born January 3, 1922 in Spartansburg, Pennsylvania to Margaret and Leonard Bryant. After graduating from high school in Titusville, Pennsylvania, he joined the Navy and served in Europe, North Africa and the Pacific during Word War II. After the war, Ray worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and retired from Conrail in 1982. He married Theresa Graziano on August 8, 1948, who preceded him in death on February 10, 1982. He later married Vera J. Vergith on April 3, 1985, who preceded him in death on November 21, 2002. Survivors include his four children; Anita Bryant (Michel Freoa), Larry Bryant (Nancy), Terri Barnack (Bill), Guy Bryant (Nancy, 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, three step-children, Nancy Brown (Bill), Norma Stanford, William Vergith (Ron), four step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren; also survived by sister Rita Gherig, brothers Donald and Allen (Bobbie).
