Lou Lee was called home to Glory on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, in Shreveport, La., after a very short illness. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Harvest Fellowship Community Church, formerly Eastside Presbyterian Church, 903 Grant St., East Gadsden. Officiating will be the Rev. Jimmy Lyons.Lou was born in Etowah County on April 13, 1918. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 532, in East Gadsden, the North Gadsden Homemakers Club and the Garden Club.Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Albert H. Lee; parents, Charles and Lesie Marino; and her stepson, Joe C. Lee. She is survived by her son, Brent Lee, Gloster, La.; stepson, Dwight and wife, Elizabeth Lee, East Gadsden; daughter-in-law, Peggy Stanfield Lee, Rainbow City; two sisters, Mary Cobb and Ann Trosper, Corbin, Ky.; four brothers, Joe Marino, Hemlock, Mich., Sam Marino, Kelly Marino and Jimmy Marino, Leo, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
