Mrs. Lou D. Carter, 79, Tuscumbia, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, at her residence.Visitation was Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2012, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Brother Roger Bond. Burial will be at Liberty Hill Cemetery.She was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Carter; daughter, Patricia Britnell; son, Danny Carter; parents, Edward and Dora Smith; and brother, Bobby Smith.She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Bond (husband, Roger); daughter-in-law, Cynthia Carter; grandsons, Joshua Bond, Trenton Carter, Adam Carter, Gary Britnell; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Voncille Howard, Dean Bailey, John Smith, Rose Ray, Joanne Duncum; and several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Josh Bond, Adam Carter, Gary Britnell, Jimmy Ray, Kennith Fleming and Billy King.Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
