CARTER, LOU, 62, of Hillview, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 4, 2007, while resting peacefully in the arms of her loving husband after a long struggle with C.O.P.D and cancer. Lou was born December 4, 1944, in Monahans, Texas to the late William and Rada McComack. Lou will be remembered for her free spirit and the love she held for family and friends. Lou was a member of Overdale United Methodist Church. She is survived by her beloved husband, R.L. "Rip" Carter; son, Curtis Carter (Sherry); grandchildren, Chase and Brittany Carter; sister, Marilyn Ingram (Tom); brothers, Billy McComack (Connie) and Will McComack (Cheryl); along with a host of friends. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks on Preston Highway at Brooks Road, with interment in the Hebron Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 1-8 p.m. on Wednesday, at Schoppenhorst.
