Survived by daughter, Beverly Christian; grandson, Derrick Christian; granddaughter, Autumn Simmons; sister, Myrtle Wherry; nieces, Patricia Dickerson and Roberta Bowen; nephew, Donald Wherry; great niece, Donna Clark; great nephews, Kenny and Roger Bowen, Darrell Givens and B.J. Alcorn; great-great nieces, Kristi Lincoln, Brittney and Brooke Clark, Ashley Givens, Breanna Alcorn, Gillian Ellis, Callie Alcorn; great-great nephews, Brett Clark, Brandon Kleiser; great-great-great nephew, Jayden Brake; great-great-great niece, Madison Kleiser. Mrs. Carter was a member of Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, September 4th at the Forest Lawn Chapel, with Pastor Patton Malcolm officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation Thursday, 2-8 and Friday, 12-2. FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, (615) 859-5279.
