PEORIA, Ariz. -- Lorraine Lillian Miller, 82, died Dec. 30, 2009, surrounded by her family. She was born April 8, 1927, in Newport, N.H., to William Lussier and Evelyn (Childs) Lussier-Allen. With her husband, Alex, Mrs. Miller founded Millers Birchwood Grove Development in Newport. She also worked for many years in Newport at the A&P and Dixon's, and after moving to Arizona, she retired from Broadway Department Store. Mrs. Miller was a volunteer at Thunderbird Hospital for 23 years in the surgical outpatient department. The family includes her husband of 64 years, Alexander William Miller; four children, Kathleen Thompson, Elaine Watson, Bill Miller and Karlene Ricks; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchldren; one great-great grandson; and a brother, William Lussier. She was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and a great- grandson. SERVICES: A memorial service will be at 1 p.m Saturday.
