Lorraine Jeanette Sevigny Davis, 80, died on June 30, 2013, at Rutland Healthcare and Rehab in Rutland, Vt., surrounded by her family.She was born July 4, 1932, in Rutland, Vt., to Norbert and Jeanette Sevigny. She graduated from West Rutland High School in 1950, Mary Hitchcock Hospital Registered Nursing Program in 1953, and Castleton State College in 1978.Lorraine was a longtime resident of West Rutland, Vt. She worked as the school nurse in the West Rutland school system for many years, retiring in 1995. She loved the town of West Rutland and served as the town health officer, as well as the town service officer from 1974 to 1995. She was a member of St. Bridget's parish. Over the years, she served as a coordinator for the religious education program, was a lector and Eucharistic minister. She was recognized by Bishop Angel for her dedication and service to her Catholic faith. Lorraine was a volunteer in the Rutland Visiting Nurse Association Hospice program from 1996 to 2002.Surviving are her husband, Walter of Rutland, Vt.; her daughter, Diane Poczobut and son-in-law Rick of Castleton, Vt.; her son, Mark Davis and his companion Theo Priest of North Clarendon, Vt.; her daughter, Jean Hayes and her companion Dean Stockwell of Fair Haven, Vt. Grandchildren include Heather Poczobut Cuomo, Nathan Poczobut, Kristin Davis Tuttle and Bethany Davis.
