Obituary of Lorraine-C. Miller


Lorraine C. Miller, 85, of Point Pleasant, N.J., joined her parents, Edward A. Miller and Anna McCauley Miller, with the Lord, on Feb. 21, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at 9 a.m. at St. Martha's R.C. Church, Point Pleasant, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave., East Hanover, N.J. A resident of Point Pleasant Borough, N.J., for 25 years, Lorraine previously resided in the Vailsburg section of Newark, N.J. Starting as a telephone operator at age 17, Lorraine retired over 39 years later as a senior executive with NJ Bell Telephone Company. Lorraine was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers and a regular communicant at St. Martha's R.C. Church in Point Pleasant. Surviving Lorraine are her sisters, Mrs. Marylin M. Baumann of Potomac, Md., Mrs. Elizabeth W. Rossman of Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Barbara L. Kraft of New Jersey, as well as 16 nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish their memories of Lorraine. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Lorraine's memory to St. Martha's R.C. Church, 3800 Herbertsville Rd., Point Pleasant, N.J. 08742.
