CARTER, Lorna Mae (Mellish) Passed away peacefully February 26, 2014 surrounded by family. Lorna grew up in Armstrong and moved to Kamloops, where she studied nursing at Royal Inland Hospital and worked at Mayo Clinic. She resided in Victoria until her passing. Lorna is survived by her loving husband Alfred Charles (Chuck) Carter of sixty years and her three children Pamela Carter, Jim (Pamela) Carter and Linda (Joe) Novotny, three grandhildren Jennifer (Kyle) Maxwell, Amanda (Jesse) Novotny and Grytt Young. She was preceded by her parents Richard and Beatrice Mellish, as well as, four siblings Richard, Marjorie, Noreen and Bert. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at McCall's Downtown, 1400 Vancouver Street. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Community Living Victoria, 3861 Cedar Hill X Road.
