Loretta Anderson, spouse of Robert R. Anderson, son of George W. Newcombe Newcombe and Mary G, died on December 11, 2014.
Loretta C. Connie (Newcombe) Anderson, 93, of Uxbridge died Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Beaumont Nursing Home of Westborough. She was the wife of the late Robert R. Anderson who died in 1994. Born November 4, 1921 in Milford, MA, Connie was the daughter of the late George W. Newcombe and Mary G. (OReilly) Newcombe Wood. She was a graduate of the former St. Marys High School in Milford. Loretta had been a resident of Hopedale for more than 60 years before moving to Uxbridge 12 years ago. She was a longtime member of the Community Covenant Church of Hopkinton. Connie was known as the Betty Crocker at her church fairs and was well known for her Swedish rolls and apple pies. She was also an avid bowler and played for various leagues i ncluding Hopedale, Millis and Whitinsville. In addition to cooking and bowling, she loved going on family camping trips, knitting and playing Scrabble. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her four daughters: Beverly A. Harris and friend Robert Burnand both of Mendon, Cynthia M. and her husband Joseph Speroni of Hopedale, Constance J. and her husband Richard Curtin of Mashpee, and Susan L. and her husband Robert Barrows of Bath, ME. 7 grandchildren, Tambi Winegardner, Toby Harris, Jennifer Picanso, Kim Martin, Liane Speroni, Katie Dupre, and Jill Barrows; 9 great-grandchildren, Xavier, Cody, Anna, Bobby, Sarah, Olivia, Trevor, Mia, and Kylie; a brother-in-law, Robert DePaolo of Milford; a step-sister, Marilyn Moran, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her brother George W. Newcombe , her sister Lucille DePaolo, step-brother, Franklin Wood, and several brothers and sisters-in-law. The family would like to thank her many caregivers at Right at Home and Beaumont of Westborough Visiting hours will be held, Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 2-4 PM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford. Funeral services will take place Monday, December 15, 2014 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery, Rte. 16, Hopedale.
