Priceville<!--Priceville-->Funeral for Lora Maddux Brown, 84, of Priceville will be Monday, June 2, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Segars officiating. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown, who died Friday, May 30, 2008, at her residence, was born July 26, 1923, in Morgan County to Henry Grey Maddux and Onez Johnson Maddux. She was a charter member of Liberty Baptist Church. During World War II, she worked at Decatur Iron and Steel making gun casings for the war effort. Her hobbies included cooking and flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Francis Collins Brown Jr.; one grandson, Johnathan Stone; and 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons, Rickey Brown (Claire) and Owen Brown (Gail); one daughter, Gayla B. Ashford (Steven Feldman); five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joey Ashford, Matthew Brown, Hughes Holmes, John Holmes, Zack Holmes, Rocky Stone and Jerry Wilson.
