Mount Hope<!--Mount Hope-->Graveside service for Lola Mae Portwood Saint, 92, of Mount Hope was Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 3:30 p.m. at Ferguson Cemetery with the Rev. Sam Wallace officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Saint, who died Monday, July 13, 2009, at MitchellHollingsworth in Florence, was born July 29, 1916, in Lawrence County to Lee Portwood and Florence Lisby Portwood. She was a homemaker and a member of Okalona Baptist Church. Her husband, Walter Pride Saint, preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Avis Saint, and wife, Pat, of Town Creek; one daughter, Barbara Byars of Mount Hope; four grandchildren, Jeff Byars and wife, Vanessa, Coy Saint and wife, Sue, and Kevin Saint and wife, Estonia, all of Town Creek, and Brian Saint and wife, Amanda, of Trussville; five great-grandchildren, Lew Byars, Kevin Ray Saint Jr., Ashley Saint, Britany Saint and William McCoy Saint; four step-great-grandchildren, Ryan Bracken, Monica Bracken, Katelyn McKee and Bonnie Campbell; and one stepgreat-great-granddaughter, Patricia Elizabeth Ann Bracken.
