Homemaker WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Lois Weatherford Johnson, 90, entered into rest Monday October 17, 2005 at Keysville Nursing Home. Mrs. Johnson was born in Burke County August 16, 1915 to the late Daniel and Georgia Anderson Weatherford. She was a housewife, enjoyed flowers and was a peace maker. She was the oldest living member of Hopeful Baptist Church and attended faithfully until moving to the nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday October 20, 2005 at Hopeful Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Alderman and Rev. Greg Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Eugene Johnson, Sr. and two brothers Emmett Weatherford and Ellis Weatherford. She is survived by four daughters, Nell Mobley, Waynesboro, Helen Bailey (Otis), Waynesboro, Lucile Cheeks (Eugene), Waynesboro, Virginia Mead (Gordon); three sons, Jessie Eugene Johnson, Jr. (Jan), Waynesboro, Jimmy Johnson (Mary Ann), Waynesboro and Richard Johnson (Vicki) of Shelby, NC. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Chuck White, Mike White, Wesley Bailey, Randy Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Dennis Cheeks, Kenneth Cheeks, Jim Johnson, Richard Brantley Johnson and Greg Coursey.
