A service to celebrate the life of Lois Jean Davis will be held at the United Church of Christ in Lake Helen, Fla. on Saturday, April 26, at 11:30 a.m. Mrs. Davis, a resident of DeLand, was born July 8, 1924 in Youngstown, Ohio. She died April 14, 2008, after a long illness. She was an ardent bridge player and loved cooking and needlework as well as many years of volunteer work. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas H. Davis; daughter, Linda I. Rhyne and her husband, Joe, Little Silver, N.J.; son, Thomas A. Davis and his wife, Geri, DeLand; four grandchildren, Colette Massimino and her husband John, Lake Mary, Heather Zumbach and her husband Richard, Maplewood, N.J., Amber Holland and her husband Brent, DeBary, and Joseph Ryne, Boston, Mass.; four great-grandchildren, Davis and Madison Holland, and Tyler and Laurel Zumbach.
