JacksonLois Irene (Park) Jackson was born near her grandfather's ranch outside Elk Mountain, Wyoming on October 1, 1922 and died in Bolivar, Mo., on January 23, 2012 after an extended illness. Lois spent her childhood and adolescence in rural St. Clair and Atchison counties and as a young woman of 19, began life as an Army Wife when she married Sgt. Jesse W. Jackson in a military chapel near Boulder City, Nevada on January 24, 1943. After his return from WWII, Lois accompanied her soldier-husband on duty assignments in both the U.S. and Europe, with four children born to them along the way, the first in Nevada, the second in Maryland, the third in Germany and the fourth in Michigan. Jesse preceded her in death on the 10th of November, 1990 after 47 years of marriage.Lois was also preceded in death by her parents, Tilman and Mary (Church) Park of Fairfax, Mo., as well as her brother Wayman Dale Park of Fairfax and her sister Lorraine Cecil Corbin of Albuquerque, New Mexico.She is survived by her sister, Letha Flynn of Flemington, Mo., and her children, Herbert W. Jackson of Springfield, daughters Priscilla Dale CdeBaca and husband Jerry of Bolivar, Mary Jo Coleman and husband Charlie of Brighton and Lois Annett Bourguet and husband Ken of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Shannon Jackson, Steven CdeBaca, Mitchial CdeBaca, Christopher Bourguet, Sabrina Coleman and Jessie Bourguet; and by six great-grandchildren, Carson CdeBaca, Avery Wade, Alana Bourguet, David CdeBaca, Christopher CdeBaca and Kegan Bourguet.Visitation will be held Thursday, 7:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home, Bolivar and Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, January 27th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bolivar. Burial will follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Springfield.
