CARTER, LOIS E., 81, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Baptist East Hospital. A native of High Bridge, KY, she was the former Lois Houchin, a homemaker and member of Buechel Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Brown, and a brother, Lloyd Houchin. She is survived by her husband, Odea L. Carter; son, Mark D. Carter (Linda); daughters, Martha Hanley (Ron), Sharon Collinsworth (Bob) and Pamela Jeffries (Rick); nine grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. Her funeral will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, and from 9 a.m.- 11a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation and Buechel Park Baptist Church.
