Memorial service for Lois C. Johnson, 75, Port Orange, who died at home Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Holiday Inn, 350 International Speedway Blvd., DeLand. Lois was born May 23, 1930, in Fair Haven, Vt., to Merrill and Marjorie (Martineau) Curren. She was a member of Eastern Star and Niskayuna Dutch Reform Church in New York. She moved to Florida in 1978 from New York. Lois worked in the accounting department of a local bank and in later years was a volunteer at Port Orange Public Library. She was an avid reader, a very specialized and skilled seamstress, enjoyed various kinds of needlework and loved her children very much. Lois was predeceased in 1996 by her loving husband of 43 years, Carl Johnson. Lois is survived by her two sons, Eric Johnson, Daytona Beach, and Marc Johnson and his wife, Johnna, South Daytona; four daughters, Signe Ehrhart and her husband, Jacob, DeLand, Andrea Graham and her husband, Mark, Bunnell, Valerie Holley, New Smyrna Beach, and Sonja Johnson, Ormond-by-the-Sea; three sisters, Elaine Sommo, Glens Falls, N.Y., Reta Tommaney, Mars, Pa., and Merle Ross, Albuquerque, N.M.; and nine grandchildren, Kayla, Jared, Shelby, William, MarKeita, Kara, Carla, Cameron and Cathryn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations requested to Friends of the Port Orange Library, 1005 City Center Circle, Port Orange, FL 32129.
