Lois Ellison Alexander, 89, widow of Marcus M. Alexander, of 1103 West South Broad St., died Dec. 30, 2001, at Riverside Nursing Center, Piedmont. Survivors: Daughter, Shelby J. Derryberry of Walhalla; brother, Copeland Ellison and sister, Grace Turrentine, both of Seneca; seven grandchildren, eight great- and seven great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased: Son, Marvin E. Alexander and parents, Arron and Ella Copeland Ellison. Visitation: 6 to 8 tonight at Davenport Funeral Home. Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, from the funeral chapel. Burial: Alexander Cemetery.
