ANDERSON, Lois Alvina (nee Patterson) Lois Anderson passed away peacefully in her 90th year surrounded by her family on May 21, 2005. Beloved daughter of the late Robert and Nina Patterson and wife of the late H. Gerald Anderson. Dearest mother of Sheryl Aris, Elaine, John and Murray Anderson and mother-in-law of Alan Aris and Reena Anderson. Cherished "Nannie" of Sean McCaully (Jennifer), Patrick McCaully (Rachel), Tracey Aris-Michel (Ian) and Natasha and Nayan Anderson. Special great-grandmother of Matthew McCaully and Jamaal, Bryson and Sheridan Michel. Dear sister of Major L. A. Patterson (the late Inez), Robert (Nola) Patterson and the late Evelyn Chambers (the late Harold) and loving Aunt to Ann Oliver (Bill) and many other nieces and nephews. Many thanks to all the staff at Granite Ridge Long Term Care Centre for welcoming Lois into their "family" and making her last 2 years happy ones. Very special thanks to Isma, Kim, Bonnie, Cara, Janet and Erica. Lois will be missed by all who knew her for her indomitable spirit, generosity and her devotion to her family, and above all for the dignity with which she handled a lengthy debilitating disease. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road, Ottawa on Friday, May 27, 2005 from 10 a.m. until a Celebration of Lois's life in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
