WILLIAMS, Lloyd V., 82, of Wake Forest, N.C., passed away Thursday, March 1, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 3, at the home of Carol and Bill Williams, 7500 Stony Hill Road, Wake Forest. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Aline Williams; daughter, Carol Williams; son-in-law, Bill; grandson, Chris; and nieces, Shirley Perdomo and Sylvia Camp of Brandon, and Susan Pilcher of Georgia. Lloyd graduated from Hillsborough High School and served in the Naval Construction Battalion during World War II. He retired from the City of Tampa Engineering Department. Lloyd was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church. Lloyd was an accomplished woodworker and specialized in chair repair. He learned how to use the computer and digital photography to share his knowledge with other woodworkers. The members of the Woodworking Forum established a scholarship fund in honor of Lloyd and for others to learn woodworking skills. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to The Lloyd Williams Memorial Fund in care of The National City Bank, 30 W. High St., London, OH 43140, or memorials can be sent to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary' s St., 4th Floor, Raleigh, NC 27605. A service of Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S.
