JOHNSON - Lloyd Lloyd passed away quietly with the dawning of the early morning on June 16, 2009 at the age of 79. Born in Chilliwack, BC on January 10, 1930. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Roberta; sister Rheta, daughters Tanaya, Bonnie (Barry), niece Karen, grandchildren Jennifer, Lisa, Derek, Jamie, Heather and great-grandchildren Isabella, Dylan, Jacob and great-nephews Stephen and Scott. Lloyd served 28 years on the Vancouver Police Department, before he retired. He was a member of the VSPOA as well as a member of the Ripple Rock and Gem Mineral Club. Lloyd spent many years in Arizona camping and rock hounding with his friends. Lloyd enjoyed many years of fishing out of Heather Marina with his boat partners Eric and Ron. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Surrey Centre Cemetery, 16671 Old McLellan Road in Surrey. A Celebration of Lloyd's life will begin at 12:00 pm at the Hazelmere United Church, 1614 - 184th Street, Surrey, British Columbia. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lloyd may be made to the BC Diabetic Society. "It broke our hearts to see you go, but you never went alone.
