RAYMOND, Lionel J. 85, died on Dec. 23, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Polly; 3 children, Pat Hodge of Houston, TX, John Raymond of Richmond, VA and Paul Raymond of Belleair; 8 grandchildren; 7 great- grandchildren; a sister; and 2 brothers. An Allstate Insurance agent for over 35 years, he served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater during WWII, was a Mason for over 50 years, and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Clearwater. The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 28 from 3-5 pm at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2860 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, Turner St., Clearwater on Monday, Dec. 29 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 is encouraged.
