Lionel-Benjamin-McKelvey Lee, spouse of Elnora Lee, father of Lorraine and Don, died on February 1, 2008.
LEE, Lionel Benjamin McKelvey Lionel will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Lorraine Kraft and son Don (Arlene) Lee of Edmonton; five grandchildren, Dennis, Shane, Alanna, Dan and Rick as well as five great-grandchildren, Kendra, Kiana, Logan, Jake and Josh. Lionel was predeceased by his wife Elnora Lee in July 2007. Lionel was born in Iddisleigh, AB in 1917. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway for thirty-eight years, working his way up from "wiper" to an engineer. He loved his job and after retirement, Lionel and Elnora spent seventeen years as "snowbirds" in Arizona. Lionel's wonderful sense of humor, caring and kindness will always be treasured by his family. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the staff at Cedars Villa Nursing Home (Maple Unit) and Dr. Tam for their love, care, kindness and support to Lionel over the years. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Wildrose United Church (1317 - 1 Street N.W.) on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLY CREMATIONS and FUNERAL SERVICES.
