Linda Stevens Bowman of Afton Linda Stevens Bowman, 61, of Afton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Bridgewater Nursing Facility, with her loving family at her bedside. She was predeceased by her parents, Dan and Mary Steven Sr.; sister, Jeannie Lindsey; brothers, Richard Stevens Sr., Robert Stevens; and brothers-in-law, Bill Lindsey, Rex Fransisco and Ernie Smith. She is survived by sisters and brothers, Doris Fransisco, Sidney, Pearlie and Ken Hillrigel, Willseyville, Ed Stevens, Steinhatchee, Fla., Dan and Mary Stevens Jr., Binghamton, Betty and Red Page, Harpursville, Bert and Les Sabine, Oneonta; along with many nieces and nephews. She was a member of Harpursville Baptist Church, Afton Baptist Church and Bethel Chapel. She formerly worked at Sheltered Workshop in Binghamton. Funeral Services will be held at Bethel Chapel, NY Rte. 79, Harpursville, on Thursday at 1 p.m. Rev. William Fowler, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery, Afton. The family will receive friends at Bethel Chapel on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Arrangements by the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home, 69-71 Maple Street, Harpursville.
