MONTICELLO, Fla. Mrs. Linda Miller, age 60, of Monticello, Florida passed away October 4, 2008, in Tallahassee, Florida. She was born June 19, 1948, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Euless and Ray Joyce Worcester Moore. Mrs. Miller was a resident of Monticello, Florida. She was a member of Piedmont Park Alliance Church in Tallahassee. She received her Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Education from Auburn University and her Doctorate from the University of Alabama. She had previously taught at the University of Montevallo and Valdosta State University and she was currently the reading coach for Jefferson County School System. She was a person of tremendous faith in Jesus Christ and was known as a Prayer Warrior and she loved her family. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her father, Bic Moore. Mrs. Miller is survived by her mother, Joyce Moore of Valdosta, Ga.; her husband, Lynn D. Miller, Jr., of Monticello, Florida; one son, Brian C. Moore of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; two daughters, Melissa Jones and husband Steve and Christine McDermott and husband Jeremy, all of Birmingham, Alabama; one brother, Larry Moore of Valdosta, Georgia; one sister, Margi Brownback and husband Tom of Murphy, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Karen Moore of Valdosta, Georgia; and four grandchildren, Dakota K. Smith, Ethan Jones, Madison Jones, and Emma Jones. A time of visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m., today, October 7, 2008, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m., today, October 7, 2008, at Leonia Cemetery with Reverend John Crosston officiating.Those asked to serve as pallbearers are as follows Larry Moore, Brian Moore, Steve Jones, Jeremy McDermott, Tripp Williams, Tom Brownback, and Chuck Miller.Burial will follow in the Leonia Cemetery.Floral arrangements are being accepted or donations may be sent to the Piedmont Park Alliance Church; 3210 Thomasville Road Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
